Bergamasco Breeding Philosophy

Silver Pastori's Philosophy, as the primary Bergamasco's caregiver has not changed throughout the years. Today's common placed whims of fancy within the "Canine World" has not been part of our keeping. We have not changed the breed to our specific style or other dog fanciers ideals.

All our Bergamascos are a part of our home, our daily being. They all live together, without crates, sleep and eat together. Males and Females live together harmoniously. All our puppies are kept until 12 weeks old, weaned naturally by their mother. Due to the slow maturation of the puppies, this period is extremely important due to the need for play and socialization between the siblings and the mother Bergamasco. All puppy owners must pick up their new puppy. It is extremely important that we meet all our new homes and they meet us and our Bergamasco family. Our puppies are registered through the American Kennel Club and the Federation Cynologique International.

We take our Puppy Homes extremely seriously. If for any reason the new owners cannot take care of their puppy, regardless of age, we will always welcome the puppy back home. Our support and responsibility for all our puppies does not end once the puppies leave our home. Regardless where our puppies live, we will always be a part of their lives, giving support to all throughout the life of the puppy.
